Lindsay & Shane hail from Bancroft, a place that has become very near to our hearts. Bancroft is home to Lindsay & Jeremy White, a bride in groom from last year that have become dear friends. It is also home to The Granite, a fine dinning restaurant and as it happens Shane’s place of work. If you ever find yourself in Bancroft, we highly recommend you pay The Granite a visit.

Lindsay and Shane were a joy to photograph. Lindsay has done some modelling (fabulous hair by the way!) and Shane is vocalist, so they were anything but shy in front of the camera. We basically lurked through the back alleys and downtown core of Belleville – quickly becoming another favourite location for us, so many great nooks and crannies. We look so forward to photographing your wedding day!

We took a nice evening stroll through the beautiful Queen’s University Campus with Crystal & R.J.. Queen’s University, and the surrounding neighbourhood, has become one of my favourite spots to shoot. For a person that has always lived in Kingston, it is easy to lose perspective on just how beautiful our city is. The old campus architecture and walking paths make you feel like you are transported to another time, breath taking. Needless-to-say we had lots of fun and soaked up all the beauty we could. We are looking so forward to photographing you’re wedding : )

We were literally chasing the frolicking Jenn & Ian through the fields, “hey come back here!” And we thought our last couple could move, being swing dancers and all? Too much fun was had, too much sun was soaked up, and too many laughs were shared. We usually like to make our engagement sessions a bit of an adventure for our couples, I think Jenn and Ian were the ones that took us for the ride this time. Tara & Mike are avid swing dancers and were a joy to photograph; I can’t wait to shoot their first dance! We took a stroll through Sydenham Ward and took advantage of the beautiful scenery and sunlight – yet another gorgeous day, sheesh what luck we’ve been having. We took a beautiful drive up to Tweed Ontario for Emma & Greg’s shoot. Yet another beautifully sunny day – we have been so fortunate this year, loving it! Emma and Greg we’re lots of fun to hang out with and photograph. They showed us around all the hot spots in Tweed : ) Emma and Greg were extremely cute in front of the camera and a joy to photograph. Ashley & Scott | Prince Edward County

We decided to visit the wine country with Ashley and Scott, and we couldn’t have asked for a better day. Despite getting lost on the way to the vineyard, we we’re all having such a great time we ended up squeezing every last bit of sunshine out of the day. Prince Edward county is one of our favourite get-aways. We highly recommend taking a day trip up to some of the vineyards – even if you don’t have a camera and a lovely looking couple to photograph : ) Thanks for all the laughs guys, and good luck Scott – who will soon be trying for Wide Receiver with the Hamilton Tiger Cats! Looking forward to your wedding day. Cataroqui Golf Club, Kingston Ontario, will be a beautiful backdrop for photographing your ceremony : )

Amy & Andrew | Having fun and being in love in the wasteland

Who would have thunk you could have so much fun in an industrial wasteland ? We had a riot shooting this one. Amy and Andrew were great sports, willing to risk radioactive poisoning for a good shot. Kidding of course; the area may have smelled bad. but it made for a terrific place to romp through for an engagement shoot. We all laughed, almost riotously, when we found the exercise bikes…what are they doing there? Needless to say, we had a great time, shared lots of laughs, and ended up with some great photos. Amy and Andrew, bless your adventurous spirits. You guys took to being photographed so naturally, looking so forward to shooting the wedding : )

Alix & Aaron | In the Green Forrest

When opposites attract: Alix is a city girl who manages Fancy That (a fashionable shop in downtown Kingston); Aaron is a country boy who works as a carpenter; Alix loves fashion and coaching swimming; Aaron doesn’t miss an opportunity to hunt and fish; Alix is just a petite little thing; Aaron could stare down a Grizzly Bear; however, their differences are merely superficial. Underneath Alix and Aaron are two of the tenderest, kindest, and well suit couples I have ever had the pleasure to meet. They have far more in common then they’ll ever have difference to separate them.

Alix has an urban wedding planned. So yesterday we thought we’d take Aaron and Alix for a drive out to my families cottage to capture them on Aaron’s turf – I am still covered in mosquito bites! We had a great afternoon and couldn’t be more pleased with the results of our northern exposure. Oh! and we even spotted a deer up close and personal (50ft) on our way home…gorgeous. Alex & Matt’s Fantastic Journey

An abandoned amusement park, horse’s and buggies, an enraged security guard, the pungent smell of motor oil, speeding go-karts, a rusty horseshoe, Skittles, and the infamous Queen’s Inn Fat City Burger are just a few of the scenes that flit through my imagination when recalling Alex & Matt’s Engagement Session. On account of the rather skeletal nature of the amusement park, we decided to make our own ride! Enjoy : )
