Ashley & Scott were a great couple to work with: lots of emotion, terrific smiles, and all around good folks. Short of the hail storm mid way through the day, which we narrowly escaped…phew, the weather couldn’t have been more perfect. You two were a pleasure to photograph.

Katharine & Matt are the kind of folks that can handle anything you throw at them. It poured rain for the majority of their wedding day and they barely noticed. We absolutely loved working with them and would happily follow them into a monsoon with our cameras. You were both just so terrific. Congratulations you two!

Ali & Pete in the Distillery District, Toronto | Second Shooting for Taylor Jackson

This wedding was my first opportunity to second shoot for another photographer. Couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day or venue. Ali and Pete were a terrific couple to photograph. Extremely laid back and genuinely excited for their wedding day. We started the day at the Hilton in downtown Toronto, and leisurely made our way over to the Distillery District in the afternoon. Taylor and I shared a cocktail with the girls at the Mill Street Brewery, Ali bought me my first champagne cocktail. Ali, full of jitters, took her father’s arm and made her way over to the ceremony. After a brief, but moving ceremony Pete scooped his bride up and laid one heck of a kiss on her!

After the ceremony we made our way out into the beautiful sunshine for portraits of Pete, Ali and their families. Ali and Pete made such a striking couple that I’m sure you can spot on-lookers sneaking photographs in the background of some of my shots.

The reception was held in the Distillery District at Archeo; terrific food, DJ P. Chan on the tables and some heart felt words. Thanks for thinking of me Taylor, and congratulation Pete and Ali,
